Note: You have to own the expansion on Origin. This works for all users who have pre-ordered the game. This will not work if you do not own the expansion pack. Step 1: Only registered and activated users can see links. Step 2: Place the Xpack1 folder in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\Update" Step 3: Update your registry. Select one below according to your OS. Open Notepad or Wordpad and paste in the code. Save it as a .reg file. Then run it. for x64: PHP Code: TEXT Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 4\Xpack1] "Installed"="True" for X86: PHP Code: TEXT Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Battlefield 4\Xpack1] "Installed"="True" Step 4: Join a server. Step 5: Enjoy China Rising 2 weeks early, without Premium of course. If you are stuck on Step 1, get the Xpack1 folder from someone who owns Premium. Note: This will also work for other expansion packs that you buy, unless EA patch it. So, if you don't want to drop money on Premium and only have enough for one expansion at a time, this might be a viable option for you.
